They give you a 50-page strategy deck and disappear
The best consulting is hands-on. Strategies are worth very little without execution support. Look for firms that are willing to get involved in implementation, not just planning.

Who will actually be doing the work on my account? How do you measure success, and how often will we review progress? What happens if things are not working — what is your process for course correction? Can I speak with two or three of your past clients?
